Tissø is one of the larger lakes in Denmark, though not in the top-5. The water covers an area of 12,3 squarekm. The surface lies 2 m over sea-level.

Along the eastern side of the lake a long hill rises to 100 m above sea-level, giving a considerable prominence not found very often in Denmark. This view along a stretch of a country-road is one of the best on the lake.

The name of the lake means "the lake of Ti (alt. Ty, Tir and Tyr)". He was an old god, and gave name to the second day of the week, Tirsdag in danish, also found i english (Tues-day) and german/alemannisch (zischtig).

The picture was made from 28 pics (RAW) in 2 rows, stitched with Hugin. It looses a bit of the sharpness when converted to JPG - any ideas?

50 mm, iso 200, f/13, 1/320 sec.

Greetings! Good colours, well aligned.
Try to save your TIFF in Hugin as big (in height) as possible (the height should be approx. the same as your original pictures), install IrfanView, open your TIFF and scale it to 500pix height (Lanczos method, is the default) and save again as TIFF. Open with GIMP (i.e.) add sharpness (moderate) if necessary and save as JPG within the p-p size limits by trying to maximize the quality. The sharpness after rescaling in Irfanview is usually good and you can save directly as JPG (apply the maximum quality by not exceeding the p-p- limits), Cheers HJ

I think it is technically not perfect, but I really like the composition and the colors.

Frappanter Bildschnitt!
Ausserdem auch die Farben geben dem Pano die herbe Würze!

It´s worth to try Hans-Jürgens suggestion. A bit more sharpness would grade up your image.

Hello -
and thanks for your nice comments and tips - they were really helpful. I have made a new and more sharp picture, but I can't reload it - I have removed the labels, and made reloads, but it just keeps showing the old picture. What's wrong? Greetings from Jan.

Cool, it worked perfect! :-) Now try to reload the pano from the server by pressing Ctrl-F5. Your old pano is still in your browser cache. Greetings HJ

Really, really sharp now....nice landscape, and perfectly natural colors. Cheers, Martin

Yes, now it's really beautiful. Maybe you should clean the sensor.

Well done!

New nice landscape on this website! Well done, but it would be fine, if you could stamp the many dots of the sensor.
best regards, Jörg

Two rows with 50 mm of focal length are not necessary for this motive. The road in the middle in the panorama does not result in well picture effect.

Thank you...
...for the support, help and interest. As late as june 2011 I was still a dinosaur, only taking analog pictures (dias)...Now I have evolved into a primate of some kind taking digital photos. I still have to learn basic photo-handling, and today my daughter (11 years of age) had to show me how to stamp away those sensor-marks. In fact I hadn't noticed untill Giuseppe said it.

I also cropped it a little more on Heinz' suggestion, though I can't get the road out of the frame anywhere on this place. To the left you descent too much, and on the right is private property.

Best regards, Jan.
