The Kollhoff-Tower stands on the northern edge of the Potsdamer Platz district. The building bears the name of Berlin architect Hans Kollhoff, a member of the international team of architects, headed by Renzo Piano, who designed the 19 buildings for the new Potsdamer Platz district.
The "Panoramapunkt" on the 24th and 25th floors gives perhaps the best view over Berlin. But it is not easy to make panoramas towards the area of Mitte, because there are some architectural obstacles.

Thanks for the comments and thanks to Rainer that I think is a Berliner.
I love the cities where you can feel the weight of history. And in Berlin, even though the buildings are all modern, the weight of history is very heavy.

Ich bin nicht der größte Freund von Wolkenkratzern; der Bereich Potsdamer Platz ist mir zudem so seltsam und isoliert, fast ohne Beziehung zu seiner Umgebung. Aber wenn all die Türme schon nicht den Anblick der Stadt verbessern, bieten sie zumindest einen feinen Blick auf die Stadt.

Non sto il più grande amico di architettura grattacielo; specialmente la zona Postdamer Platz è così strano e isolato per me, quasi senza di alcuna relazione con l'ambiente circostante. Ma quando tutte le torri non tiratevi migliorare la vista della città, offrono una bella vista sulla città, almeno.

I´m not the greatest friend of skyscraper architecture; especially the Postdamer Platz area is so strange and isolated for me, almost without of any relation to its surroundings. But when all the towers don´t improve the view of the city, they offer a fine view to the city at least.

Dear Wolfgang, I fully agree with your opinion. To be honest, even I do not like too much the new Potsdamer Platz, although it has been designed by Renzo Piano.
More generally, for my taste, Berlin is a too much modern city.
But I think that today Berlin is the European capital most dynamic and innovative and should be known and visited.
