The pano shows the center of Marseille and in particular its old port (Vieux-Port, in French). It was taken from the Basilica of Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde, a magnificent viewpoint on Marseille.
Since there are other panoramic views taken from the same point, I decided to show a pano of detail.

Good idea to show this detailed panoramic! It almost looks like a cut of my one. But I think it has been taken at the afternoon, so that the light conditions offered a better view to the East. Did you take a panoramic view also to the eastern part of Marseille? This is still missing here.
Of course I like this one because it is a souvenir of my summer holiday and it has a very good quality (sharpness, colours)! This point of view is really great!

I like the detailed view very much; in this instance, the harbour forms a nice axis for the panorama. Cheers, Martin

Thanks for your comments. Yes, Jorg, the photo was taken in the afternoon and the light is very different from yours. Can I do a pano of the area to the east, but is less interesting. Perhaps it will insert the same.
