Lake Silvaplana is a lake in the Upper-Engadine valley of Grisons. It takes its name from the village of Silvaplana. Together with its larger neighbour, Lake Sils, it is among the largest lakes of the Grisons.
Lake Silvaplana is overlooked by several mountains over 3.000 metres, but due to the bad weather, little can be seen.
The autumn colors of the area are very beautiful.
Nietzsche spent his summer holidays there for many years.

Cheers, Hans-Jörg
Unfortunately the lake only inspired me to eat a slice of walnut cake. Is it due to the bad weather? ;-)

Kind regards.
On the shores of Lake Silvaplana there is the "Nietzsches Nachdenkstein" (you can search for it with Google Maps).
Kind regards.
