It seems that Nietzsche found the inspiration to write Thus Spoke Zarathustra during a walk around this lake.
Unfortunately the lake only inspired me to eat a slice of walnut cake. Is it due to the bad weather? ;-)

;-) oh yes, the delicious walnut cake is definitely a better choice than reading works of Nietzsche, even if the depressive mood would also go well with it ;-) ... by the way, the walnut cake was better than any "Müsli-Riegel" at the Rifugios in this region !!

Giuseppe, "Location: Silvaplana" stimmt nicht, denn es ist bei Sils-Maria aufgenommen worden. Und Sils-Maria war der Aufenthaltsort von F. Nietzsche während mehrer Sommermonate.
Ich finde Nietzsches Schriften interessant und viele seiner Gedichte, ebenso die von Nietzsches Buch "Also sprach Zarathustra" inspirierte Alpen-Sinfonie von R. Strauss https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsTo7QxxgYg.

@Dieter: the lake is bordered by a large road. In my panoramas I always try to show things as they are, without ever changing anything. Right or wrong, it's my choice. The road is there and, in my opinion, it's right that it be seen. From my point of view, the pylons of the ski lifts are more unpleasant, but I've never thought of erasing them.

@Heinz: I saw the house where Nietzsche lived, I know where it is and it is exactly 1,4 km from the shooting point and from Lake Silvaplana.
On the shores of Lake Silvaplana there is the "Nietzsches Nachdenkstein" (you can search for it with Google Maps).
