I first got acquainted with the Lovcen by chance in a bicycle tour that I did in 2003. I saw it from the seashore and I decided to climb it.
So, it became one of what I called the "Seven Summits of the Poor", the side climbs of that tour:
1) Brennkogel (3018), in the Grossglockner group
2) Klinovec (1244), between Czech Republic and Germany
3) Brocken (1142), in the Harz
4) Jochköpfl (3143), a summit above the Timmelsjoch
5) Stirovnik (1748), highest summit of the Lovcen
6) Liakoura (2457), highest summit of the Parnassos, in Greece
7) Helmos (2355), in Peloponnese, which I would climb again twice in later tours.

In 2013 I wanted to visit the Njegoš mausoleum on the second summit of the Lovcen, which is the Jezerki Vrh, which means "summit of the lakes", no less than the Maja Jezerces, that I had climbed a few days before in Albania.
Unfortunately, the mausoleum was closed and this 360° is all I carried down from the mountain.

Comments

Nice view towards the mausoleum and Mt Stirovnik :-)
