This years vacation went to the Faroes again. Fantastic place, but with a completely unpredictable weather. Only 2-3 days were suitable for making panos, and we went to this location on both days. It is something as rare, and un-nordic, as a commercial hiking track. Appr. 25 euros is the prize, which is something of a shock when you are used to the freedom to roam in N-S-SF.
The climax on this trail is the view over Sørvágsvatn/Leitisvatn (yes, 2 names for the lake), largest lake on the Faroes, the steap seacliffs Trælanípa, and the outlet waterfall Bøsdalafossur. 5 km with short sidetracks. Actually, you can bargin with the owner, and make the ticket valid for 2 days, which we did, and which is why we came back.
Pano made from 21 pics (RAW), 70-200mm@70mm, iso-125, f/8, 1/640 sec, developed in DPP (daylight, neutral, moderate sharpness), stitched in PTGui pro, scale and sharpening in Irfanview.
