Hraunfossar, meaning gravel waterfall, is one of the lesser known waterfalls of Iceland. Water runs over a lavafield, and gathers at a confluence as short waterfalls, flowing into the river Hvitá - White River. There is a nearby, lesser spectacular waterfall, called Barnafoss - the baby waterfall.

Pano made from 15 HF pics (RAW), 50 mm, iso-200, f/7,1, 1/250 sec, developed in Canon DPP (daylight, neutral, moderate sharpness), stitched in PTGui pro, scale and sharpness in Irfanview.

It is remarkable how wide the water flows from the opposite bank. The lower cut is a bit tight.

The width of the fall and the water seemingly coming out of nowhere - indeed spectacular. Cheers, Martin
