The Colle della Maddalena is the highest elevation (715 m s.l.m.) of the Turin hills, a few kilometers east of the city of Torino.
Monviso is 64 Km away.
8 photos; 300 mm; f4; 1/125 sec.; 250 ISO; with tripod.
(it was very windy and, although I had the tripod, I preferred a longer exposure time).

Wonderful picture. Could you please give us some more informations about equipment, time, distance to Monviso etc.
Since this summer I am a fan of Monviso (;-).

I'm also a fan of Monviso, but my inadequate climbing skills don't allow me to climb to the top.

Al netto dell'abilità alpinistica, sembra che salire il Monviso sia problematico anche per la pericolosa combinazione di affollamento e cattiva roccia. In concreto: se sopra c'è uno poco esperto che tira giù un sasso, il sasso poi non sa se tu sotto sei esperto o meno...
(Lo stesso discorso mi viene di farlo quando sento dire al telegiornale: Sono rimasti sotto la valanga eppure erano esperti)
