Living by the water
Here you look out over De Dijklanden, a beautiful meadow landscape where unfortunately there are plans for housing, among other things. From this point you look in the direction of my panorama “Rivier De Aa” (far left behind the cows).
Although you would not expect it, the Netherlands has a water problem. In 2018, too little rain fell with major consequences. Dykes dry out and can collapse, in addition, the foundations of buildings begin to fall due to the low groundwater level. You cannot understand all of that when you see the high water levels of the rivers at the moment.
