Just an old impression from Kalundborg. I always thought I could improve it, but I have never gotten to it, so I might as well show it.

The ending of the location name, -øre, means "beach of stone and gravel", and this is excactly what it is. This odd little ness is a beloved little hiking spot the local inhabitants, but also housed the once famous - amongst seamen - radio transmission station "Kalundborg long wave sender". The now outdated masts from back then are still prominent in the landscape.

Pano made from 29 HF pics (RAW), Canon 550D, 50 mm, f/8, 1/400 sek, iso-100, developed in DPP (daylight, neutral, ALO off, moderate sharpness), stitched in PTGui pro, contrast in GIMP, downscaling and sharpening in Irfanview.

Comments

This pano shows that industry, absence of sunshine and friendly colors, also deliver a nice result but most people here only like a pond with some trees, oversaturated colors and too much contrast.

Tastes differ. I like the emphasis on landscapes here, with each contributor having a distinct style. Colours differ, from the cool Martin Kraus style to the intense Johann Ilmberger style. And contrasts differ from the modesty of Jens Vischer to the excess of Wilfried Malz. I emphasize correct alignment, horizon and sharpness. Other emphasize other stuff.

Well said, Jan. And by the way, nice pano ;)

Great strip with beautifully diffferentiated sky. And a very good remark. Cheers, Martin
