After four years, I revisited this unknown standpoint to do a remake of my old Gramvoussa panorama. The first evening, August 27, I performed an authentic time trial, cycling from Paleohora on the south coast, where I had been busy with a spectacular sunrise, in order not to be late at the planned appointment with the sunset at "my" 234m point.
What the Betrachter sees here is the result of the second evening. In neither case I had the exceptional light of 2011, but I hope that the outcome can be of some interest nevertheless. There was no third evening, since I had to cycle to the Chania airport, to dismount the bicycle (the very same that had carried me here in 2011), to fly home, to remount that bicycle, to dismount the new bicycle of 2015, to fly to India, and there to remount the new bicycle for the Himalayan tour. Had I not needed to attend this handful of jobs, I would indeed have lingered in the surroundings, waiting for a proper full moon... 12 HF, Canon G1X, 28 mm, ISO 100, f/5.6, 1/125 sec. goo.gl/gWqCLJ |
