Location: Lycabettus (270 m)      by: Pedrotti Alberto
Area: Greece      Date: 28-08-2014
Maybe more populated now than at the time of the Goddess.

50 HF in two rows, plus 8 supplementary HF needed to patch close antennas, flag masts and several other annoyments that make panoramization from the Lycabettus rather painful. The photos were taken at 08.20 in the morning.
Canon G1X, 99 mm equiv, f/5.6, 1/500 sec.

A metropolitan nightmare ;-).

Looks like ice floes in the preview. Also amazing overview of this metropolis.

Nice panorama
without smog. But what you named "Salamis" seems to me to be Aigina.

Matthias: thank you for the remark. Actually, I realized immediately that I had entered a false Salamina, but then I forgot to correct since I was eagerly browsing the stunning Udeuschle revelations: From here mountains such as Cillenes (www.panoramio.com/photo/71181466) ad Helmos (www.panoramio.com/photo/71134585), in the role of maxdist, are theoretically in sight!
Now corrected and added something. Still far from complete.

Fascinating. Given sufficient abstraction and elevation, no crisis is to be seen anymore. Cheers, Martin

Noch nie gesehen, so etwas!
Souverän dokumentiert!

I agree with Jörg B., from this point of view Athen looks like a great "glacier"!

Cheers, Hans-Jörg

2 rows at 100mm gives a nice source with a great pixel density. Furthermore from a beautiful city. VG HJ
