Clermont-Ferrand is a French commune of about 150,000 inhabitants, capital of the region of Auvergne and of the department of Puy-de-Dôme.
It is known for: the chain of Volcanoes (Chaîne des Puys) surrounding it; it is headquarters of the Michelin tires; in its surroundings was born Vercingetorix; for its black Cathedral (lava stone built), from where the pano was taken. |

I know that, in this site, does not like the cut towers ;-).
But I think that in this pano the cut towers are a positive element. They characterize well the pano, implying the place of shooting.
Obviously, it's just my opinion.
