Es ist jetzt kurz vor mittags, eine Viertelstunde nach dem Eingangsrätsel der Serie vom Emirgan Park. Ich war mit dem Boot bis Istinye gefahren und von dort aus durch den Ort und den Park spaziert. Bei Rückkehr ans Ufer war es auf einmal belebt geworden. Besonders beliebt ist das Angeln; selbst an der Galatabrücke in der Stadtmitte Istanbuls stehen immer viele, und die Eimer mit dem Fang sind voll. Wie die Wasserqualität bei den durchfahrenden alten Öltankern der russischen Schattenflotte ist, möchte ich nicht so genau wissen, aber mit den starken Strömungen von und zum Schwarzen Meer ist es vielleicht nicht so schlimm. Zu sehen ist übrigens die zweite Autobahnbrücke, nicht die von #34614.

It is now shortly before noon, a quarter of an hour after the introductory puzzle of the series from Emirgan Park. I had taken the boat to Istinye and walked through the village and the park from there. When I returned to the shore, it had suddenly become lively. Fishing is particularly popular; even at the Galata Bridge in the centre of Istanbul, there are always lots of people, and their buckets are full of catches. I don't want to know exactly what the water quality is like with the old oil tankers of the Russian shadow fleet passing through, but with the strong currents to and from the Black Sea, it's probably not so bad. What you see here, by the way, is the second motorway bridge, not the one from #34614.
