The Oltrepò Pavese is an area in region of Lombardy, which lies to the south of the river Po. It is "oltre" (beyond) the Po when considered from the rest of Lombardy, hence the name.
Oltrepò also happens to be the largest wine-producing area of Lombardy (and one of the largest in Italy), specializing in Pinot Nero.

The grapes that grow on these vinyards are possibly Sangiovese ?

No, Sangiovese is not grown in this area.
It is a wine-growing area well-known in Italy, perhaps not well known abroad.
I think there is no pano of this area in this site.

By trying to reduce from the list of the various famous wine regions in Italy and by trying to associate the landscape.
Maybe not so far down South.
Are we in either of these regions ? (Marken, Molise, Basilikate, Latium)

What you see in the background on the left is the Po Valley.

Are we even in the Veneto ?
13.09.2023 23:12 , Hans-Jürgen Bayer
No. The Po Valley is north of the vineyards.

Have searched without result yesterday. It is clear from the sun that you are roughly looking north. As you have quickly excluded Sangiovese (and thus to my understanding the Emilia), is this then Nebbiolo-land? Cheers, Martin

It is a well-defined area south of the Po. The geographical area can also be found on Wikipedia.
Many vines are cultivated, but neither Sangiovese, nor Nebbiolo. The prevalent one is Pinot Noir.

Vino Gutturnio Superiore, Gutturnio Riserva or vino in Colli di Parma ?
14.09.2023 18:50 , Hans-Jürgen Bayer
Sorry, neither Gutturnio nor Colli di Parma.
The typical red wine of the area is very similar to Gutturnio.

Lombardia! I excluded it upfront.
Interestingly to read that 2/3 of Italian Pinot Noir come from there.

Pinot Noir is very common here, but the wine produced in this area that I drink most frequently (not too often) is Bonarda. Bonarda is a sparkling dark red wine that is generally not considered valuable, but which I really like paired with cured meats.
