Athens today is a megalopolis of more than 4 million inhabitants. It has grown in the post-war in a disorderly manner , but the charm of the Acropolis and the historic center is outstanding.

Of course the data compression makes it complicated to get an optimal result, hence allow me a minor remark: To me it appears, that the light dots which are further away ("at the horizon") are coarser than the structures in the foreground (i.e. see the outer left- and outer right parts of the picture). Do you have an explanation? Do you see these effect (if there is any) also in the original frames?

Hello Christoph. I'm not sure I have understood the question.
What I can say is that the pano probably does not properly understand the great distances. Piraeus is from the hill of Lycabettus more than 10 Km. But things are even more complicated. The line of the horizon is not given by the sea. After the sea there are the island of Salamis (the one of the famous battle between the Athenians and Persians), other islands and the mountains of the Peloponnese (which at night are not seen).
I think that in the next pano, I will see the area during the day, so as to understand better.
