Aufnahmestandort: Monte Grappa      Fotografiert von: Giuseppe Marzulli
Gebiet: Italy      Datum: December 2012
Pano extreme, from very long distance. The Monte Grappa is a mountain in the Alps that allows you to see almost the entire eastern Po Valley and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. The peak identified the farthest is the Alpe della Luna, 248km. To give an idea of the distance, we're close to the border between Romagna, Tuscany and Marche.
The mountains of the Apennines are shown in white, the mountains of the Alps are shown in black.

There are 7 photos; 70mm (full format), f4; 1/320sec.; ISO 200; with tripod.

Very good far view, great! LG Fried

Thanks Friedemann. I am having trouble identifying the peaks of the Apennines.

:-) I enjoyed watching this stripe several times! For fans of far views it is an amazing "product".
LG Jörg

Thank you, Jörg. The pano perhaps is not technically perfect, but the distances are immense. It is very difficult to see the Apennines from the Alps. The particularity of the pano can be best appreciated by those who know Italian geography. Monte Grappa is North-west of Venice and Alpe della Luna is south-east of Florence :-).
I am not able, at the moment, to identify the other peaks of the Apennines, and it will take me a long time.

a new document, incredible distances, congratulations.
So it should be possible to view nearly the complete arc of the Alps from Monte Cimone or Monte Cusna?

Fascinating mood and far view!

@Mentor: the Monte Cimone (which you can see in the pano) has a special feature. It is the geographical point from which you can see more Italian territory.
From Monte Cimone you can see also all the Italian Alps. But I've never been.
Obviously you need exceptional clarity, something that is very rare.

Amazing panoramic view!

WOW ... i agree with Jörg N. - absolutely great to see many points with a distance >200km!!! Thanks Giuseppe for this view - tanti saluti Hans-Jörg

Unique document, thanks for sharing. Peter

@ Giuseppe, but that ultimate clear day is what makes the difference, delivering the opportunity to obtain a document. I love these ultra long distance views and I hope to see one day, the ultimate shot from Mte Cimone. Even Istrien should be visible from there.

Dear Mentor, I think the view of the Alps from Monte Cimone would disappoint you. I've never seen the Alps from Monte Cimone, but I've seen from other peaks of the Apennines.
And the Alps from the Apennines can be seen small and from very far away. To see them well you need a powerful telephoto lens.

From Monte Cimone maybe you can see the Istria, but is best seen Corsica :-).
