Giotto’s bell tower (Campanile di Giotto) is a free-standing campanile that is part of the complex of buildings that make up Florence Cathedral on the Piazza del Duomo.
The tower is one of the showpieces of the Florentine Gothic architecture with its design by Giotto and attains a height of 84,7 metres. I think that it is the most beautiful Italian bell tower.
From the tower you can have a complete view of Florence. For a 360° panoramic view, however, it is not possible to remain in the same position and I preferred to make a 270° pano.
Brunelleschi's Dome, however, is very close and makes a bit difficult to make panos.

I personally think (as my first impression) that the Duomo is not ruining the picture / the panoramic view. It is the dominating building in Florence, hence it is worthwhile to portrait it like done here. More maybe later on ...

Dear Christoph, you can also climb the dome of Brunelleschi. My first intention was to will go up on the dome, but there were three hours queue. So I preferred to climb the bell tower of Giotto. I agree on the fact that the dome does not ruin the pano, but rather enriches.
I'm not sure I understand your question. However, there are 6 photos; 24 mm (full format); f5,6; 1/2500 sec.
