Stebnícka Magura (Slovak: Stebnícka Magura) - the highest peak in the Ondava Foothills. It rises north of Bardejov, clearly dominating the entire area.
At the summit, built in 1975, are the 81-meter-tall steel radio and television transmitter mast and a brick building housing technical support, as well as a wooden shelter for tourists and a signpost for marked hiking trails.
The observation tower on Stebnicka Magura (known as Berzewicz's Tower) is a very new attraction. Official opening: November 21, 2024.
It's worth knowing that: the first tower, dating from 1905, already stood in the same location.
It was destroyed during World War I (1918). Later, another structure was built (1932), which burned down around 1951.
