Area: Italy      Date: 18 March 2026
The Farnese Gardens (Orti Farnesiani) or "Gardens of Farnese upon the Palatine", are a garden in Rome, created in 1550 on the northern portion of Palatine Hill, by Cardinal Alessandro Farnese. They were the first private botanical gardens in Europe.
The panorama was taken precisely from the Uccelliera Farnesiana (Farnese Aviary) and does not show the gardens, but a view of Rome, mainly of the Roman Forum.

é perfetto per il mio giusto: Tutte le edificie differente sono arrangiato in un ritmo delizioso, che davvero sottolinea la grandezza di luogho singolare.
Un oltro esempio per la deliziositá della mezza altezza.

So many different ages. And so many early springs that some of these buildings have seen...

Great comments. This panorama shows 27 centuries of history in a confusing and heterogeneous, but very fascinating context.

Certainly one of the most dramatic and diverse historic spots on Earth. And March seems to be a good season for Rome. Cheers, Martin

March is a great month to visit Rome. It's not too hot and there aren't too many tourists. You just need to be lucky with the weather.
What strikes me about this panorama is that there are buildings from every era, from the 20th century to many centuries BC.

Toll in Szene gesetzt mit den lila Blüten rechts und links.
