Nach Morgenspaziergang in Potos (#34166) nahm ich den Bus nach Skala Prinos und dort die weitgehend leere Mittagsfähre nach Kavala. In dieser schönen und lebendigen Hafenstadt wollte ich noch 2 Nächte bleiben. Oben auf der Burg bot sich noch einmal der Blick zurück auf die Insel Thassos, eingerahmte von den engen Gassen der auf einer Halbinsel befindlichen Altstadt. Ein weiterer Blick auf die Stadt folgt.

After my morning walk in Potos (#34166), I took the bus to Skala Prinos and then the mostly empty midday ferry to Kavala. I wanted to stay in this beautiful and lively port city for two nights. From the top of the castle, I had another view back to the island of Thassos, framed by the narrow streets of the old town on a peninsula. A wider view of the town will follow.
