Ancient for sure. Obviously it was different, but already in the 4th-5th century it was the cathedral of the city, even if a few centuries later the cathedral became another.

Dank Bildersuche sind solche Objekte ja heute kein wirkliches Rätsel mehr. Auf jeden Fall sehr gut ins Licht gesetzt.
