Lake Monate is a pre-Alpine lake of glacial origin in Lombardy located in the province of Varese between Lake Varese and Lake Maggiore.
It is one of the few glacial basins that is suitable for swimming.

I dare to say we are at Lago Maggiore. Is it Mottarone on the left with its transmission tower? But if it is Lago Maggiore, then maybe taken from a traghetto ?

Giuseppe, is it taken near Baveno or even from Isola dei Pescatori or Isola Superore ?

My first thought was Ferry from Reno to Stresa.

It is not taken from Lake Maggiore :-)

That's what I just found out in parallel. I would locate you at the east side of Lago di Monate. Very nice to see the familiar mountains from a new perspective. Cheers, Martin

OMG, not Lago Maggiore. This little hill in the middle reminded me much for Mont'Orfano.

Die alte Hochspannungsleitung kenne ich irgendwie.
Ich denke es ist vom Lago di Monate aufgenommen.
