The subject should be clear, but... where is the Standort?

----------------------------------------------------

N.31411 was taken from Monte Trentin, 2325 m, at 90 km, 312.5° from Venezia.
This one is taken from Monte Colombara, 1415 m, short below Monte Grappa, at 63 km, 318.5° from Venezia.
Of course it is useful to compare the two.

I was convinced that Monte Grappa were the clear winner in the horizont of Venice, but according to Udeuschle this is not true. Namely, the highest angle over the horizon is scored by Cima delle Vezzana. A couple of ther summits from the southern Pale (Freadusta and Croda Granda), and even Monte Cavallo (Alpago) beat the Grappa, albeit slightly.

An amazing perspective from "the Giro d'Italia 2024 mountain" - which focal length is that, Alberto?

Cheers, Hans-Jörg

Focal length is 600 mm, and 65 are the kms that separate Aufnahmestandort and San Marco.

Dieter
