An unusual view of Montepulciano, taken from afar with the 200mm, from the road that leads from Montepulciano to Pienza.
Montepulciano is a town in the province of Siena, 605 meters above sea level, between the Valdichiana and the Val d'Orcia.
Montepulciano has origins from the Etruscans, has an ancient and long history and is also famous for its vineyards, from which the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, one of the most famous Tuscan wines, is obtained.

... I haven't had that lovely wine in quite a while.

Personally I like shorter tele panos very much. "just because we could show everything " doesn't mean we need to. Even 360 degree panos on this site... are croppped in the sense of not shower Nadir or Zenith.

It's a bit unfortunate the beautiful light only illuminates the right half.

Hi Augustin, I like tele panos because they allow original shots and not the usual ones. I was undecided whether to put this pano for the reason you said, but I liked to show Montepulciano. As you will have understood, I really like both the wine and the town ;-)

Architecture without "spirito del tempo". Wonderful view and good to see how common heritage is conserved in Italy !

Unfortunately not always and not everywhere. In Tuscany, however, it has often been successful.

Nice portrait of the location.
