Location: Paramin (500 m)      by: Augustin Werner
Area: Trinidad And Tobago      Date: 10 June 2022
After the short hike and visit at the Paramin Lookout, it rained almost all afternoon. When it finally cleared up a little, I went for another short walk from our cabin, simply following the narrow mountaintop concrete road.

With my first Pano from Trinidad, captured nearby, I mentioned "Appenzell" - Things in Paramin that reminded me of Appenzell include... The place is very small, has Streusiedelungen, Scenery that is very pretty mountaineous, tidy & clean, and the people have their own cultural identity and pride. A different world, yet actually very close to the big city. & perhaps... more likely to be in the clouds then the lowlands.

But otherwise... it is different enough from Appenzellerland to deserve a place in this gallery.

Trinidad and Tobago is perhaps the country I knew the worst of all. Your panos have been very instructive to me. The thing that amazed me the most is the weather. Who knows why I imagined that the sun always shone in Trinidad and Tobago :-)
However it is impossible to confuse with Appenzell :-)
The vegetation is completely different.

Extremely interesting. Not at all sure what I would have expected. And I like the wild comparison. Cheers, Martin
