Vom zuletzt gezeigten Standort geht ein schöner, direkt ansteigender weg immer in der Nähe des Grates hinauf zum Gipfel des Monte Cagno, den zwei Kreuze zieren. Hier hat man zum ersten Mal eine Rundsicht. Dir Wolken hatten den Monte Sirente (das Ziel des Folgetages - bereits eingangs der Abruzzen-Serie gezeigt) freigegeben, aber dafür Majella und Velino eingehüllt. Im breiten Tal wird L'Aquila sichtbar. Der Weg geht nun ohne größere Anstiege attraktiv weiter.

From the last location shown, a beautiful, directly ascending path always goes up near the ridge to the summit of Monte Cagno, which is adorned with two crosses. Here you have a panoramic view for the first time. The clouds had cleared Monte Sirente (the destination of the following day - already shown at the beginning of the Abruzzo series), but instead enveloped Majella and Velino. L'Aquila becomes visible in the wide valley. The trail now continues attractively without any major climbs.
