SOLVED RIDDLE.

The Roste are close to the road that connects Massa Marittima with Siena. They are not indicated by any signs and you need to have some experience to get there, even if they are very close to the road.
What you see are the remains of the copper works of the late nineteenth century. The copper ore was brought to this place and roasted here. Today the Roste area is in the area of the Colline Metallifere Grossetane Archaeological Technological Park.
