In the dettifoss-area, 2 waterfalls and a so-called rapid can be seen within 2 kilometers. Above comes an un-named rapid, then the picturesque waterfall Selfoss, and finally, the mighty Dettifoss. Also, the desolate nature of the landscape can be seen here. On a grey day like this, it is a far cry from the lush, and rainbow-clad nature of Gullfoss.
