The Badia di Passignano, also called the Abbey of San Michele Arcangelo a Passignano is an historic Benedictine abbey located in the Chianti area, in Province of Florence.
Founded in the 11th century, it was destroyed and rebuilt several times. Today perhaps it appears from the outside more like a castle than a monastic community.

Comments

The two towers remind a bit of (piccolo) Palazzo Vecchio - only here it's missing the top. If I'm not wrong the design is more often seen in Tuscany (Siena)
