SOLVED RIDDLE.

We are in an area that I like much, but very little known by tourists (who flock to the sea, but ignore the hinterland). In this pano nothing spectacular is seen, but the autumn colors are special and the landscape is typical of this area.

Without any research, I have no idea at the moment ... but the first view leads me to think about the Apuan Alps ...

I haven't an idea either. But it looks famously autumnal. Regards Peter

A very nice picture indeed. Unfortunately, I don't have much time to search today. Surely somewhere in the Appenines, but they are long. I don't think it is the Apuane, because they are higher and not with forest to the top. Cheers, Martin

Thanks everyone for participating. It is not in the Apuan Alps. The pano was taken at the end of October.

Everything would suggest that it is located in the Apennines, but...

My first thought was that it is not even on Italian mainland but maybe Corse or Alps Marittime. Second thought Sardegna. Third ... ?

It is in Italy.
Neither of your hypotheses is right, but one is close.

Let me guess once more ... Regione Liguria ?

Yes. If we consider that the Apennines start from the Bocchetta di Altare (Colle di Cadibona), the research area is not very large.

Large enough for me :-). Now to find the village on top of the hill with a nearby lonesome church beyond a road.

No idea, but very nice autumn colours.
