Malga Fratte is one of the many alpin huts of the Asiago plateau that produce good cheese.
The cutting of trees instead is not a traditional activity of these huts, but is due to an exceptional atmospheric event.
From 26 October to 30 October 2018, an extreme weather event affected the Italian north-east and other European regions. In the Asiago plateau hundreds of thousands of trees have been cut down by the strong wind.
