It is impossible to get closer to this building...

SOLVED RIDDLE.

This building now is the Egyptian Embassy in Italy.
But it has a very interesting history.
The Italian Presidents of the Republic reside in the Quirinal Palace. The Kings of Italy also resided in the Palazzo del Quirinale and before them, many Popes too.
But Vittorio Emanuele III, who reigned in Italy from 1900 to 1946, did not like the Quirinal Palace, because he considered it too sumptuous. So he came to live in this villa, which was therefore the residence of the King of Italy for many years.
In this villa, on 25 July 1943 Benito Mussolini was arrested and thus Fascism ended in Italy (Mussolini was then freed a few months later by the Nazis on the Gran Sasso, but this is another story).
At the end of the Second World War, Vittorio Emanuele III was exiled and chose Egypt (which at the time was a monarchy) as the seat of exile.
In return, he donated this villa to Egypt, which thus became the Egyptian embassy in Rome.

It is a building rich in history, which it was not easy to imagine today's use.

The Savoy Cross is an excellent clue.

I think I found it. It is V. A. (or V.S.) in a capital city and the white sculptures are a second VERY strong hint.

Ok Christoph. This villa had historical importance (and little known even by the Italians). Now it is the Egyptian embassy which cannot be visited, but is surrounded by one of the most beautiful parks in Rome which can be visited without problems.
