Great joy to see you back here, And also great joy to be able to scan the Italian coastline again for delicate patterns. The church in the middle should be in a village of Ca..a, but I did not find its name. The pass behind the church in front of the sea would then be Costa di F.... Your point of view is on Via A..a. I only know Via Aurelia as a straight line from the coastal plain further south. It is really a mountain road up here. Of course it has to pass inland somewhere, as Cinque Terre and the like do not lend themselves to a coastal route.

@Klaus: your comment is very interesting. If you know the conformation of the eastern Liguria coast, you understand that it is very difficult to build a coastal road from Genoa to La Spezia, which historically never existed. The passage between Genoa and Tuscany took place either by sea or, with greater difficulty, through the Bracco Pass. The Passo del Bracco was once very important and takes up the path of the Via Aurelia which was built by the Romans. This stretch of the Via Aurelia was built by the Emperor Augustus and in his time it was called Via Julia Augusta and reached France.

I am happy that you returned. I hope you are able to stay longer now. Once more a nice impression of an italian landscape.

Congrats to Martin ... I kept a quick lookout on google maps above the Cinque Terre villages, shortly after your publication. My intuition led me to the right region of Italy, but I found no direct solution.
