Zurück auf den Berg. Beim Aufstieg (#28610) und vom Gipfel des Profitis Ilias hatte mich der nächste Gipfel Richtung Norden in der Kette des Taygetos als mögliche Nachspeise angelacht, und da ich noch nicht völlig satt war, nahm ich die gut 100 Höhenmeter weglos den gutmütigen Hang hinauf von der Scharte von Portes noch mit. Die bereits ausführlich diskutierten Quellwolken lieferten ihrerseits auch noch einen Nachschlag (wir sind jetzt eine gute Stunde nach dem Gipfelpano #28682). Die Tiefblicke nach Nordwesten machten den Abstecher dennoch lohnend, und der Hauptgipfel zeigte von hier aus auch noch einmal seinen Charakter.

Back on the mountain. On the ascent (#28610) and from the summit of Profitis Ilias, the next peak to the north in the chain of Taygetos had attracted my attention as a possible dessert, and as I was not yet completely full, I took up the approximately 100 metres of altitude without a trail up the benevolent slope from the saddle of Portes. The swelling clouds, which have already been discussed in detail, also delivered another helping. The deep views to the north-west made the detour worthwhile, and the main summit showed its character once again from here.
