La particolare conformazione del Lago di Garda fa sì che si generino moltissimi venti molto particolari e specifici per i vari periodi dell'anno. Alcuni venti possono perfino essere previsti con precisione oraria. Ciascuno di essi ha vari nomi dialettali: Pelèr (o Sover, o Sauar, o Soar, o Vént dé Sóra), Montis, Traersù, la famosa Ora del Garda, Balì, Vinessa, Toscà, Pezzochero, Gardesana, Avreser, Balinot, Ponal…

Due to the particular conformation of Lake Garda many very peculiar and specific winds are generated during the year. Some winds can even be predicted with hourly precision. Spectacular mood. I'm actually missing some Kite surfers. The lakes around Munich would be full of them :-).
The Grottoes of Catullus are on the right ? I was only once in Sirmione, but wonderful peninsula!

Thanks for your appreciation. I didn't see any kite- or wind-surfer at all; maybe the weather was too bad...
The grottoes are on the left; they always deserve a look, when you are in Sirmione.
