This 360° offers a first acquaintance with Tilicho Tal, the "big ice lake" discovered by the French expedition of 1950. I will present it next in more specific pictures, and also with different weather conditions. But with the present picture let one first understand where it lies. Namely, form this scree summit in front of the big Annapurna barrier, one dominates not only the lake, but also the whole of the Marsyangdi valley. It would not be allowed to trekkers to leave the path to the lake - actually, little after taking these shots I was reached by my sherpa who was very angry with me, but I thought that this climb was absolutely necessary for panoramic purposes...
For study, it is useful to consider this work in conjunction with N.26485, which is taken from behind the mountains behind the red bag, and with N.25625, which is taken from the maybe best viewpoint on the whole Annapurna barrier.
The location of the present panorama is clearly recognizable N.14329, where the whole ridge stands out in the sun, against the Tilicho in shadow.
