Location: Timpa Scazzariddo (1930 m)      by: Martin Kraus
Area: Italy      Date: 13.11.2018
In response to Giuseppe's riddle of Monte Alpi, I change the order of my presentation to show the impressive face of Monte Alpi as seen from the west.

This is taken from Timpa Scazzariddo, the first peak of our tour of Monte del Papa, one of the few peaks in this area above 2000m, and Monte Sirino. A road leads up to Lago Laudemio at 1550m, where huge parking is provided, as this is a Ski area in winter. More about the immediate vicinity I will show in further panos - the focus is here on the mountains of the Lucanian Apennine and the Pollino. As the higher summits are flatter and more extended, this was actually the best viewpoint of the day.

Monte del Papa and Timpa Scazzariddo have been labeled by Giuseppe on his #23650; I have labeled his site for the view in the other direction.

Comments

I had first read "tale" instead of "tele" - that would also have been a suitable title...
Regards, Alberto.

Thanks Martin. From this pano we understand because the Monte Alpi is called Alpi (Alps).

VG Peter

Ausgezeichnet, gerne mehr von solchen Telestreifen.
