Originally this was a riddle.
A riddle also for me, since previously I had never located the exact place.
Now that it is clear I reworked the panorama under strict Udeuschle control.

Impressive sight. Given the snow on the peaks and the sunlight, I would expect this to be somewhere on the south side of the High Atlas. Could be M'Goun in the background. Google also shows a large band of red rock there, but I haven't so far been able to locate the detailed place. Cheers, Martin

Looked again and got it now. Not M'Goun, but a bit further to the west. The snowy peaks in the background are 3300m high according to OSM. As usual for the area, it is hard to get more information.

I need to go back with a GPS, but I think that the place was this one...
Trying to find some information with Google Earth, Wikiloc and all the rest I realize how badly organized is the whole. At least, with the old photo layer of Google Earth one always found some photo identifying significant places, like this one should indeed be classified. This seems to be no longer true.
