NOT SOLVED RIDDLE.

The Vanlée is a French coastal river of Normandy, in the department of Manche.
It is a short river, but when its mouth is covered by the tide, the basin becomes very wide.
It is not a banal place and, to be honest, I thought it would intrigue more.

Normandy?

Then I answer and it is quite evident, for those that are experienced, that we are in an area, as Normandy, affected by wide tides.
But can I ask you, what makes you think the Normandy and not, for example, Ireland or Scotland?

I relate large sand beaches more with Normandy. But I am not familiar with any of those places. BR Jan.

In my opinion, in this case, one must follow the intuition, as you did.
This riddle is difficult also because it is a very low tide condition and the images with Google Earth are in different tidal conditions.

@Jan: bravo. It is in Normandy.
It is a not banal place.
Anyway tomorrow night I give the solution.

You are right; when comparing with googleearth it is not easy to find a match. But I guess it is Omaha Beach. But not sure. BR Jan.

@Jan: thank you for your participation and for the intuition demonstrated for Normandy; it's not near Omaha Beach. By midnight I give the solution.
It is impossible to determine it with Google Earth, it can only be determined by another intuition.

A very difficult puzzle from this underrepresented region ... and congratulations to Jan for his "good nose" !!
