SOLVED RIDDLE.

The Torre Sant 'Emiliano is one of the many coastal towers of Puglia.
Built in the sixteenth century, it had defensive and sighting functions against Saracen pirates, like all other coastal towers of Puglia.

A very interesting coastal landscape, but a very hard riddle. The remains of the tower in the middle could be anything between a Nuraghe in Sardegna and and old lighthouse in Ireland - the landscape would probably suit both. Will continue to search later. Cheers, Martin

I think that when the area it will be known, many will be surprised.

Difficult, but it should be in a southern country.

Could be Portugal. Nice scenery!

I think Mentor has said that it is in a southern country for the type of vegetation. And in fact it is in a southern region.
In spring, this landscape can even recall Irish landscapes, but if you see this area in the summer, the landscape changes completely.

Piú che con Portogallo o Irlanda, avverto una certa qual "vicinanza"... con l'Albania!

It's not really hard, but I need not always be the one who solves the puzzle.
But I give a hint: The next port city begins with an O... :-)

...in which case the tower is Torre Sant' E... and Alberto's hint is not that far?

Braucht man nur gut beim Schwimmen zu sein...

Thank you all for participating. I thought it was more difficult.
