SOLVED RIDDLE.

The Castle of Padenghe sul Garda is an ancient stronghold dating back to the twelfth century. It allows a good view on the southern part of the lake.

Yes, this is not San Martino. It is a B&B castello a bit further north ;-)

Io avevo invece pensato a Moniga, un po' piú lontano dal Vo', considerando la tua preferenza per le focali lunghe...

Yes Alberto, I also looked at Vo - it is astonishing what the focal lenghts does. And it was of course very important for me to have the hint of Alvise, since it helped me to orientate.
