La Fortezza o Rocca Albornóz è una costruzione fortificata edificata sul punto più alto del Monte di San Sergio a Urbino.
Deve il suo nome al cardinale Albornoz a cui tradizionalmente viene attribuita la sua costruzione, anche se alcuni studi propenderebbero per attribuire la sua edificazione al suo successore, il cardinale spagnolo Grimoard. Fu realizzata nella seconda metà del XIV secolo con funzione difensiva, in quanto la rocca esistente non era ritenuta più adatta al Ducato di Urbino. Nel corso dei secoli subì varie distruzioni e ricostruzioni; nei primi del '500, quando furono edificate le mura roveresche, la fortezza fu raccordata alla cinta muraria della città e nel 1673 la rocca fu ceduta ai padri Carmelitani Scalzi del vicino convento.

It owes its name to the cardinal Albornoz to whom his construction is traditionally attributed, even if some studies would favor to attribute his edification to his successor, the Spanish cardinal Grimoard. It was built in the second half of the fourteenth century with a defensive function, as the existing fortress was considered no more suitable for the Duchy of Urbino. Over the centuries it suffered various destructions and reconstructions; in the early 16th century, when the walls of the Della Rovere were built, the fortress was connected to the city walls and in 1673 the fortress was given to the Discalced Carmelite Fathers of the nearby convent.
