Location: Pedona (309 m)      by: Giuseppe Marzulli
Area: Italy      Date: 7 October 2017
The Versilia is a part of Tuscany in the north-western province of Lucca, on the coast.
It is known mainly for its seaside resorts, but its hills allow remarkable views on the Ligurian coast and on the Maritime Alps and the Ligurian Apennines (only in the case of clear sky).
The view can reach the Monviso and the French Southern Alps.

Splendid, Giuseppe!

Thank you Arne. The most amazing thing is to see Monviso coming out of the sea ;-)

Foto fuori categoria!

This is the first time I see a pano from this area with the Mont Viso. So this is a new document. Well done Giuseppe. I never thought one could see this mountain from there. Actually it looks like an enormous strato volcano island, which it isn't of course.

I would never expect a view like that from this Position! The altitude approximately 300 meters? Next pano in my "Fernsichtliste" :)

I thank everyone for friendly comments.
@Silas: I added the altitude. As you said, it's around 300 meters.
@Alberto: Tonight I do not have time to check, but I think it's Santa Lucia and not Monteggiori.
Tomorrow I'll give you more information.

Quanto al Monviso, puoi farti una ricerca "Monviso dalla Pania"...

What a sensational moment to see the Monviso from this location. Absolutely stunning panorama composition with fine mood and details. My journey finished at Carrara, before going back for one night to Camogli to enjoy my Franziskaner ;-) ...

Cheers, Hans-Jörg

NB: but don't worry, during my Ligurian and Eastern Tuscan trip, I tasted almost exclusively the excellent Italian wine :-) ...

Can be I honest? I had not recognized the Monviso and I wondered what it was that kind of rocky triangle.
As for the beer, I love beer, especially in summer when it's hot....
