View to the east on the slope of Slættaratindur. I made a similar pano from higher above; it gave a little more view to the east, but not the tiefblick to Funningur. Perhaps I will upload that when everybody has forgotten about this one :-)

Pano made from 14 HF pics (RAW), 50 mm, iso-100, f/10, 1/320 sec, developed in DPP (daylight, neutral, ALO off, moderate sharpness), stitched in PTGui pro, contrast adjustment, downscaling and sharpening in Irfanview.

Another fascinating view in perfect quality. I am still astonished by the combination of remoteness of the well-kept villages and quality of the roads. But probably the latter nowadays serve to preserve the former. Cheers, Martin

Ein sehr schönes Motiv, bei dem mir die schon von Hans-Jörg genannten Punkte auch besonders auffallen. Und es ist auch wieder bestens bearbeitet und jetzt farblich so gestaltet, daß es mir sehr zusagt.
Wenn ich mir die Wolkenbilder auf http://www2.sat24.com/history.aspx anschaue, dann sind eigentlich keine gravierenden Unterschiede zwischen Ende Juli 2015 und Mitte Juli 2016. Hier wie dort bildet scih diese typische Rinne über den Färöern aus. Wenn man noch die Aufnahmezeit wüßte, könnte man das besser beurteilen.
Was da zum Aufnahmeort sonst noch gesagt wurde, dem kann ich nicht ganz folgen.
