Location: Ermitage de St Jean du Puy (658 m)      by: Giuseppe Marzulli
Area: France      Date: 3 April 2015
First I want to explain the title. I am a fan of Cezanne, which I consider one of the greatest painters of the second half of the nineteenth century. This pano shows in the center the Montagne Sainte-Victoire (Mont Sainte-Victoire), which is been portrayed in numerous paintings by Cezanne and was for him a kind of obsession.

The Hermitage of St Jean du Puy is located on top of a hill at an altitude of 658 meters. This hermitage is an observatory overlooking the entire valley of the Arc.
In the distance you can see (at a distance of 170-180 km) also the Massif des Ecrins, in the Dauphiné Alps.

10 photos; 70 mm (full format); f8; 1/1600 sec.; 100 ISO.

Once more an amazing view and for me a well known landscape.

Very nice view and the Barre des Ecrins should even be visible from the Mt Canigou 415 km away... at least theoretically.

That's really a great view!

Thanks for the comments. In the pano you can see in the distance (about 120 km) also the area where crashed the plane of Germanwings. It is the area with the label "Massif des Trois-Eveches".
