The official name of the Pont d' Avignon (Avignon bridge) would be Pont Saint-Bénézet, but everyone calls it Pont d' Avignon. The Pont d' Avignon is perhaps the most famous French medieval bridge.
The bridge spanned the Rhone River and was built between 1177 and 1185, with an original length of 900 meters. The bridge collapses several times and was rebuilt several times. Finally a catastrophic flood in 1669 swept away much of the structure. Non so se si capisce, ma il ponte è un po' in diagonale e non perpendicolare.
Mi piacciono poi queste situazioni dove il titolo descrive solo lo scontato, mentre l'attenzione va tutta sul non scontato, in questo caso il riflesso appunto, e poi quella straordinaria facciata di cappella - alla quale devo rispondere al piú presto con un... Alpenpanorama, che causa pigrizia però non ho pronto.

Per il resto, avrei potuto escludere le forti luci a destra, ma le ho lasciate apposta, perché sotto la quarta arcata superstite del ponte passa il traffico di Avignone e mi piaceva il contrasto fra la medievalità e la tranquillità delle prime tre arcate e la modernità sotto la quarta. Ma naturalmente è una questione di scelte e questa può essere discutibile (e forse sbagliata).
