Pleasure to see this landscape. I wonder about the missing 40 °.

Hello Jörg. The pano was taken by the so-called Gonjace Tower. The tower is a metal structure with a flagpole that makes it very difficult to make a correct 360°.
The tower was built when Slovenia was part of Tito's Yugoslavia and had the implicit purpose of show to the Yugoslavs how much beautiful area it was possible to win. For those who have not lived through the Cold War is difficult to understand these things. Now however it is a very quiet area and the tower is just a magnificent vantage point.

I think (not completely sure) I have been to these hills last autumn, but unfortunally just passing through.

Una curiosità. Hai segnato Aquileia perché magari nell'originale si riesce a distinguere il campanile??

@Arne: this is a tourist area still very little known. But I'm sure that in the future will be better known because it is very pleasant and quiet (both the part Italian and the Slovenian). And the wine is really good ;-)
@Alberto: sì, è possibile distinguere il campanile di Aquileia, ma non con questo obiettivo, ma con il 300 mm. Si riesce a distinguere (con il 300 mm) anche Lignano, Grado e parecchio altro.

È bello grosso quel campanile...
A proposito. Da tempo coltivo l'idea di caricare una foto di Aquileia (www.panoramio.com/photo/79803743) visto che qui non ce ne sono. Da una parte quella composizione mi piace, dall'altra trovo che quel campanile sia lí troppo in mezzo e troppo "ingombrante".
Magari tu che sei specialista nel settore hai qualche trucco (che so, qualche proiezione particolare) da consigliarmi per togliermi di imbarazzo. Oppure hai da caricare una foto di Aquileia, al che mi passa l'idea e mi togli parimenti d'imbarazzo!!

P.S.: ovviamente i pensieri "campanilistici" mi sono venuti anche osservando tutti quelli che si vedono nel tuo panorama.

Purtroppo l' ultima volta che sono stato ad Aquileia è stato una ventina di anni fa. Ricordo che mi era piaciuta moltissimo, in particolare i mosaici (ma non ho nessuna foto). Direi che di una panoramica di Aquileia si sente qui la mancanza, anche se, dal quel che ricordo, non dovrebbe essere facile fare una panoramica che renda adeguatamente la bellezza di Aquileia.

Studieremo il problema...
Intanto, cose da fotografare non ce ne mancano!
