Thanks Michael. For the weather, this time, is not just luck. I had to go somewhere else, but the weather was not as good. I read where the weather was better and so, at the last minute, I changed and went to the French Riviera.
And, for the sights, this is an area that I know quite well.

Passi anche Tolone, ma... la foto incredibile che avevo intravisto stamattina, con Argentera, Grand Capelet e Bego ripresi dal mare, che fine ha fatto?
Magari gli esperti ("if any", aggiungo sempre maliziosamente io, che sono una gran testa di ...) hanno nel frattempo dimostrato che si trattava di un fotomontaggio??

@Alberto: a me questa panoramica di Tolone piace molto. Ero stato a Tolone una decina di anni fa (all' epoca non facevo panorami) ed era da tempo che volevo fare una panoramica di Tolone dal Mont Faron. Ma non mi era mai capitata l' occasione. Tolone non ha molte attrattive, ma mi piace perchè è l' unica città del Mediterraneo francese dove non vanno i turisti e per la sua posizione geografica, che sembra fatta apposta per costruirci una base navale.
Era anche sede di un famigerato bagno penale. Ne "I Miserabili" di Hugo, ti ricorderarai che Jean Valjean fu condannato a 19 anni di lavori forzati per aver rubato un tozzo di pane. I lavori forzati li trascorse nel bagno penale di Tolone, che era tristemente famoso per la sua durezza.
L' altra panoramica la reinserirò, dopo aver fatto alcune correzioni. Non so bene se c'erano errori. So che era rara.
